I just purchased a 2001 Polaris sportsman 400 and it was hard to turn left. after jacking up the front end and getting ready to remove the l/f tire I noticed a lot of lateral movement got the front hub off and replaced all 4 bearings and races (hub and strut) and new seals front and back after all was put back together noticed the play was still their tried to put a spacer in at all locations and still have to much slop wondering if this has happen to eney one else?????? help.

 

I just went threw the same thing with a 04 400.In my case the left lower strut knuckle was damaged.Allowing the lower strut bearing races to have movement.I had to buy a new left lower strut knuckle.
