Hello everyone! I am new to repairing chinese atvs..i am replacing the stator, wire harness, spark plug coil, rectifier, and solenoid . My 5 wire stator came and it has 7 wires and 2 of them aren't connected on the inside part of the magneto. The wires that aren't connected are red with green stripe and solid black..I'll try to attach photos..please help

Does the connector still match up? If so, I would just mount the stator and give it a try without putting the cover on. If the connector doesn't fit, then use your old one to match up wires. I found that chinese wire colors are all over the place without a standard.

I never has luck with chinese stators. I tried to use one on my KTM dirtbike as the old oem one was bad. Not only did it not completely fit correctly without some cast mods, it didn't work. I ended up buying a good used oem one off ebay and it worked perfectly.
