Default Linhai 600 EFI - Charging problems

Hi guys . I have a problem with the charging system on my atv . At first , i have a 2010 linhai 600 EFI with a 552 engine , not used for 2 years with 1500 km on board ( 90hrs ) . The first step i made , was to change the battery , old battery was cracked up . So i installed the new battery , i did like 5-6 rides in 3 days ( aprox. 100 km lets say ) . Battery is fine still working and engine is starting easy , but the voltage values i get on the battery is what i really don't like . Long story short , i have 12,5V on idle with lights off , 12.1 on idle with main light on , i have some lights that i can't shut off . On load at 3-4000 rpms i have 13,2-13,8 V maybe 14 sometimes . At first , i tried to check the 3 yellow wires from the stator , wich looked good at that moment i can't remember the exact values but i was comparing with internet and was okish . Second i changed the regulator wich at first was a bust , still 12,4V on idle , after a while it suddnly charged at idle 13.5V and on rev 14,9-15.2 i was somehow satisfied but i knew it won't last much , next day morning , back to 12.4V with the new regulator in . Now , what is really fishy to me is that the regulator wich btw has 3 yellow wires that come from the stator and 2 wires ( 1 green and 1 red -> not sure ) this 2 wires should charge the battery if i messure this wires i get 15V constant on idle and 15.1 15.2 on 4000 rpms. I am sorry for this long and messy post , english is not my first language and i'm kinda exhausted about this thing , and i will be gladly for any answer.

Your charging system seems OK to me. The battery is supposed to take what power it needs from the voltage regulator, but no more than circa 14.5v. As the battery runs down, the regulator kicks out more volts, so your voltage readings should not exactly correspond with the RPM of the engine. In fact I find the voltage will jump to a maximum as the revs rise just above idle, then slowly drop, presumably as the battery needs less to keep it topped up.

I didn't knew this thing , nobody told me this . It seems logic,as i did today like 30km and when i came back i checked voltage again and it was 13.4 on idle with the fan on... After i left him shut off for 2-3 hours when i started the atv again it was only charging 12.7 - 12.8

As long as you don't get really low readings under 12V, sounds like its ok. As long as the machine starts easily it sounds good to me. I think you're so caught up on the varying numbers that you think there is a problem and its just normal for voltage to vary a bit.

I'm not going to start a new thread , i will ask people here if anybody knows if i could buy parts for other models and fit it in my linhai . I can't find anything for it , not even an oil filter . It has a 552cc V-TWIN .
