Default emissions tag or label lt50?

Was just at dmv to register a 2002 suzuki lta-50 i bought my son. Was doing a vin verification and to check engine case #s. The inspector didnt sign my atv off due to "missing the us federal emissions label" Anyone happen to know where that might be located?

OMG.
I've never seen a emissions label on a quad.
Better call a Suzuki dealer.

I have seen emmision labels on many ATV's, and I would think the little 50 would have one as well....will be on the frame somewhere but I can't say where. Its just a little label ( sometimes metal ) that states that this ATV/engine complys with yada, yada year for US emissions. Never would have thought it would have been a requirement to register.
