Default Seeking chinese 110 atv wiring guru

I have a older tao tao 110 atv. I ordered new keys switch, start solenoid, 5pin cdi, voltage reg., and remote kill. I plug everything jn and turn key alon and starts cranking right away and wint stop till turn key off. I figured start button is stuck so i unplug it and still cranks over. I opened up wiring harness and nothing seems like its melted or grounded that i can tell. I see all my black wires soldered together and i have 1 group of red wires and 1 group of some red with some tracers on them soldered in another. I have no power to connector where start/kill switch. Guy i know is working on similar quad and says on his wiring all grounds are soldered together and all negatives are soldered together. Basically having 2 soldered bundles soldered. Does this sound like may be my problem?

IT just means that you have negative grounding in the frame, which means you just connect every negative cable to the frame.

IT's done to simplify wiring so you don't have to have so mange negative wires going back to the battery.

have you checked for a pinched wire from the push button? Pull the trigger wire off the start solenoid and start tracing it backwards with a test light. Sounds like you have a pinched wire that is giving power to the starter with the key on

I finally figured it out. All i did was run a ground wire from ground bundle to battery ground and starts with push button. This thing has been a nightmare...and its #1 of 3 project quads that i have :-(

Must have a broken ground in the harness someware. At least its fixed... Im in the same boat. Got one in the shop stripped down waiting for a engine. The neighbor just picked up one with a new engine and carb but owner screwed something up. So more than likely he is going to sell me that one.

I havent messed with it in awhile but i think its in my startor not spinging flywheel fast enough to make spark.
There is a procedure found on a thread somehwere to check cdi for no spark. Check with voltmeter on the cdi wiring connector for spark. I know if you have a 5 pin cdi its the left side top lin if looking at the connector plugged into cdi
