Default Kasea/SMC 170cc Quad Engine Parts - WHAT'S THE DEAL?

Picked up a 170cc Chinese quad at a yard sale last weekend for $20. Checked the compression and I have 30 psi, trying to determine if this thing is worth saving or not. I'm having allot of trouble trying to find engine parts for the 170cc, 150cc is everywhere and cheap.

The only place I've found so far that sells 170cc parts is here, but they only have a cylinder for the 150cc engine.

I'm betting I'm going to need top and bottom end gaskets, cylinder, piston, and rings. Is it possible to put a 150cc cylinder on this engine? Anyone have an experience with this engine? Any ideas?

First off, find out why you have low compression, it could be head gasket, valves, worn rings or worn piston and cylinder. Compared with most Chinese machines, a website with exploded view parts drawings and a priced parts list, is making life easy. If you have a scored cylinder, oversize rings and pistons may be available in order to give it a re-bore. The owners of the website should be able to tell you the options, once you know what you need.

Does anyone have some sort of service manual for this engine? I'll need to know the proper torque for the cylinder head bolts and such, should I choose to rebuild the engine.

Thinking of converting the ATV to brushless electric...

Why not call them, looks like they have a phone number on their website. You need to r&r the jug anyways, then take a measurement of the bore. If your bore looks good, then just get the ring kit and the gaskets.
