Default CDI Interchangeability between Bear Tracker 250 and Bruin/Big Bear 250

I recently did did an engine swap using a 2004 Bear Tracker 250 engine to replace my 2008 Big Bear 250 engine. From what I understand these engines are identical. I know the part numbers are different but any idea if I can use a Beartracker CDI with my existing Big Bear wiring harness?
The reason I ask is I can purchase an aftermarket Bear Tracker CDI for a fraction of the cost of a replacement Big Bear CDI. I appreciate any insight.

Look the same to me

2008 Yamaha BIG BEAR 250 (YFM25BXL) Electrical 1 | Ronnie's Mail Order

2004 Yamaha BEARTRACKER (YFM25XS) Electrical 1 | Ronnie's Mail Order

I wouldn't hesitate to try it.

I purchased a parts engine from a beartracker that included the CDI. When I plugged it in I had no spark on my Big Bear. I was told the CDI was good but can't confirm it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
