Default Taotao 125M looses all power after WOT

Hey everyone. I got my son a TaoTao 125M in June. We have taken it extremely easy on this thing for the last couple months. Yesterday I did its first WOT for a .5 miles during that time, maybe at .35miles i noticed a lot of pooping noise coming from the muffler and at about .4 miles it started to sputter and at .5miles it all out died. once it died and came to a complete stop, it wouldnt start. I have to wait about 3-5min before it would turnover and stay running. Im thinking its over heating but im really not sure. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks.

over heating.. have you done oil changes to get rid of all the brake in material? I run synthetic in mine.
Also remember you probably weigh more than the 135lbs weight limit of the machine

Yes I have Amsoil Atv full synthetic. The weight should
matter that much. I have an 84 Honda 125 3wheeler and I can rip around all day without issues. But it also happens when my wife drives it, so the weight issues wouldn't apply

Big difference between a honda and a taotao.

You have that model # right? Check the plug and see how its running and check the filter.
