I have a chance to pick up a Hisun 700 4x4 at a fair price. The owner has the motor out and disassembled, apparently it threw a rod.

Anyone have any suggestions for a cheap used or rebuilt motor that will bolt up? Doesn't much matter to me what it is as long as it fits and I can keep the EFI and electronics.

See what pops up on eBay, never know. Also local wrecking yards. I might look for a motor with a carb vs fuel injection. If it was me, and I wanted a side by side, and didn't want to spend a lot, I'd rather look at a Kymco, made in Taiwan and a quality machine with a good warrantee. Don't have much faith in stuff made in Red China.
