So I was out at the local off road park a couple weeks back, with a friend of mine and my 1986 kawasaki bayou 300. His carb was pissing out gas the entire time...and he finally ran out.
We were going to go to the gas station down the road, fill up a gas can, come back and tear his carb apart. I parked my kawasaki and it dawned on me....in the 4 months I've had it....I had never taken the key out. It is always locked in my garage if I'm not riding it. So I went to pull out the key...and it would not come out. I turned the machine on....and the key came right out. With the key in my hand...not in the ignition...I hit the starter button....AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP.
Now in a past life...I use to be a locksmith (home and commerical, never vehicles). This blew my mind. I still have no idea what it could be.
Theres nothing in the manual about this...and nothing on google.
Anyone have any suggestions on what this could be?
