1999 sportsman 4x4 500 Polaris

Default 1999 sportsman 4x4 500 Polaris
The 4x4 does not work in reverse. I was told that a 1999 does not suppose to work in reverse. any help

Are you holding down the override button on the left side of the handlebars?

yes I tried that and nothing in reverse. Thats when I started to asking questions and it was said that older polaris 4x4 did not have 4 wheel drive in reverse. Trying to find the truth on a 1999 sportsman

As far as I know all 4x4 Polaris ATVs ever made have 4x4 in reverse. In 1999 they did for sure.

If this kit is still available you can bypass the reverse over ride also.https://www.quadovator.com/rev_overr...imination.html
