Default Polaris Sportsman 500

Hey everyone!

My dad has a 2003 Polaris sportsman 500. I needed new tires and bearing pretty badly. Before we replaced anything, one of his friends had the engine blow out on his 2002 sportsman 500. We bought it for only $500. We took/swapped the tires, took the bearings, and took a large storage box that had been on the back. all we have sold is the plow.

So my question is, what are some main parts we could sell and for how much? I know it depends on the condition but we really don't need that many parts off of it. What should we sell, for how much, and what should we do with the rest?

Thanks

Just depends on what's not damaged. Either sell it as a lower unit as is or complete if you don't want to tear it down. Most people list both cases, crank shaft, cylinders, heads, carbs, ignition components(if you have them) separately. Check around ebay, craigslist as to what people are asking.

Thanks for replying quick. We are already tearing a lot of it apart. I think we will take the parts we need then strip out the rest of the parts. The engine is blown but the rest is pretty good. How much could I see things like the winch, plastics, bumpers, racks, or carb for?

All depends on shape. Look up the price of a new parts(if available) and if in good shape ask 1/2 of that or best offer. Plus again look at some of the prices online that people are selling and use that as a gauge.Condition is the best seller no matter what you have to sell and can get the best price.

You can check prices to compare here, and list whatever you want to sell or trade. https://atvconnection.com/forums/cla...ale-swap-shop/
