Default Polaris AGL lubricant

08 sportsman 500HO, What is the equivalent of this oil.
I've tried searching and I'm getting mixed reviews.
Some say it's equivalent to a 75/90 some say 10w30.
There's a huge difference between the 2 .
I ride in warm and cold temps 80f down to 10f
I understand that the oil has to have a specific climb rate to ensure proper lubrication of upper components.
75/90 can be real thick when cold, 10w30 can bee really thin in the heat.
I'm confused as to the weight of AGL when you read that you can use either one!
HELP.

Agl sure isn't close to 75/90.. It's way thinner than that. Closer to a 10 wt oil. Car oil that some say they use might be ok,but it may not have the pressure additives,anti-foaming agents that Agl or oil like this has.https://snowcitymi.com/shop/manufact...ncasegear-oil/

I never heard of Snow City before. I checked and it's only a 2 hour drive from my house. They have a 2,500 pound WARN winch on sale there. I haven't checked winch prices in a long time but this seems cheap for a WARN. https://snowcitymi.com/shop/atvutv-a...ge-2500-winch/

Good price on the ProVantage at $225. Two other places I checked wanted $300 and $350 on the same winch.

I thought they were going for 3-something, but wasn't sure. A savings of about 100 bucks. Not bad.

I run chaincase lube in my trans/rear diff, never had an issue. Amsoil sells it, also use Amsoil front drive fluid in my front diff.

You can get a better winch in a Super winch terra - Warn finances it’s massive advert campaign by passing it off to the customer.

On the Superwinch website they list the Superwinch Terra 25 at $305.84. That's $80.84 more than the WARN ProVantage 2500 I linked to. If I was going to buy one, I'd save some money and get the WARN. They both have the same pulling capacity with a cable that's the same length and diameter. The WARN has all-metal gears, but Superwinch only says they have "reliable gears".

That pro vantage looks like the warn economy winch, the Terra is far from that. The Superwinch has all metal gears, and the end is clockable, which in my tight mount (2011 - present Polaris value models) offers a huge advantage.

I’ve compared both - buying a winch that has a syn rope on it comes with a hard metal drum, vs the softer drum on the cable models.
