I had an LT80 in for repair yesterday, only a broken throttle return spring and pull start that hadn't been repaired properly, and didn't fully rewind. The difference is it has a Honda GX160 engine sat on top of the Suzuki one, yes it does go in with the Suzuki cylinder and head removed. The engine drives (I think by belt) a pulley on the right hand side of the Suzuki crankshaft. Power then seems to go via the normal CVT transmission. I'm not sure if I should think of it as a triumph of British ingenuity, or a Frankenstien's monster. However it was well executed, and ran OK, though a little down on the power of a standard LT80.

A fella was going to look at a LT80 with a RM motor in it and a swingarm..weird if you ask me.

 

Look at Craigslist Pittsburgh on April 2 it’s paired with a Chevy cobalt, if you want to see the Lt80 with Rm motor in it. Or type in Lt80 with rm 80 motor to go directly to it.

 

Did y’all happen to take a look at it , thoughts?
