Default 86 Honda Fourtrax 200sx Huge electrical problem

Hi, I'm new here so please excuse any errors. My Honda 200sx has a big problem with the electrical, but it seems to be wired correctly. When I turn the ignition switch to on, the only thing that turns on is the tail light, nothing else. I just got the atv for $100, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Here is the wiring diagram, if you can't work out and test which wires it could be, take the bike and the diagram to someone who can.

I have the diagram and the wires match up correctly from what I've seen, but I'm just confused as to who only the tail light works. I tested the other bulbs and they're all good, but no lights other than that one. Would the voltage regulator/rectifier being bad make the rest of the atv not work? I tested that and that was in fact bad. I ordered a replacement and it is shipping right now. Will that fix the problem?

No. Follow that live wire back from the tail light to the battery on the diagram. Somewhere, all the other wires that should be live, branch off, then split again to go their separate ways. This wire, common to everything except tail lamp is where the fault lies. My guess would be in the start, dip, headlight, switch block.

Actually, after looking at my wiring diagram, I think that the new regulator/ rectifier will fix things. I attached my diagram so you can check, but it seems like that is what is making only the tail light work.

Totally different diagram, strange, even the regulator is different, or at least has 5 wires to it rather than the 4 on my diagram. Still cant see how it could affect the tail lamp as that live to it (brown I think) goes straight from lighting switch to lamp, nowhere near the reg. I notice the "not connected to anything" terminals do connect to both tail light wires, someone hasn't wired them into something have they?

No, and it is very strange that the only thing working is the tail light, but every other electrical component is not live except the ignition switch

And also, I think the difference in the diagram has to do with the "sx" after the 200, but I'm not 100% sure.
