Working for a motorcycle/atv manufacture I can tell you there is an unwritten law of about 72 mph for atv's.

As far a best place to ride? GLAMIS!! My DS love's that's place .

I have a garmin gps, and according to it my ds goes 73mph but I'm also bouncing off the rev limiter. The limit will not be a problem for long.

2000 ds650
K&N filter with air box lid removed
dyno jet kit

ordered:
Graydon pipe, rev box, and steering dampner.

Wish list, RW stage 2 kit

My garmin e-trex recorded 80mph in deep soft loose sand with 10 paddle haulers loading the motor down. Once I get the jetting dialed in and the boost raised, I should hit the 90's in sand and over 100 elsewhere.

The kit is custom made. It runs around the cost of the ATV to build with EFI. You can build it yourself w/o EFI for a few thousand. Steve Benson at Hymark Performance/Advanced Turbo Systems in Salt Lake City, UT built it. www.atsturbo.com The pipes you see are the intercooler pipes. They do not get as hot as the pipe and they are tucked in so I don't get burned. The motor is capable of 120HP so I don't think there will be any reliability issues as the power level I am running, but time will tell. I am still tuning the DS so I don't have exact HP numbers yet. I expect to meet or exceed 2X stock HP with the intercooler.
