Coolster 125 dies when coming down from high throttle
#1
I had the carb replaced last fall as it wouldn't stay running...Ran great for the first couple outings this spring.
It starts fine and idles fine. If you hit the throttle it takes off like it should. If you let go of the throttle, it dies out.
From researching similar issues, it's apparently running too rich? I have the idle up as high as it will go w/o engaging the clutch.
Dealer says carb is dirty, but from what I read, this is not a symptom of a dirty carb...
Thoughts?

Dealer could be right, if it ran OK at first then it isn't going to suddenly enrichen itself, but a bit of dirt in the idle jet will cause sudden problems. However, if it has the excess fuel type of choke, this could cause sudden enrichment at idle if it is sticking slightly open. Either way, a strip and clean is best policy. Then, if it still doesn't run right, you can alter the idle mixture screw to improve slow running.
