Chinese ATV Kinder KD125A - Wiring Issues
#1
I have an old Chinese ATV, Kinder KD125A. It is a 125cc engine. It is approx 20 to 25 years old. I have no manual and they are not made anymore. I restored it a couple of years ago and it ran great until recently. Due to incorrect wiring on my part to the auto choke and the resistor, it stopped running. I have replaced the carb and all electrical components. Here lies my issue... I have looked at every wiring diagram that I can find for a 125cc, but I can not find one that shows exactly how the choke and the resistor are wired into the other wiring. Please help and tell me where these attach or tell me where I can find a wiring diagram that shows them. My grandson is patiently waiting. Thanks!

A lot of those little circa 90cc two strokes have the auto choke and resistor system. Seems that one wire from alternator goes to rectifier direct. The other goes to rectifier, but also connects in parallel to the auto choke and the resistor. Other side of resistor and choke are earthed. On them it is the yellow/red wire which connects to rectifier, resistor and choke, and the white that goes direct to rectifier.

Thank you - merryman!!!
I haven't had a chance to check it all out, but on the wiring diagram, it makes total sense to me. I will give it a try later today. Thank you very much for your quick reply and instructions!
