I got back from riding my TB and i noticed that the muffler was riding kinda low. I looked closer and seen the muffle was rubbing the starter cover and almost has a whole rubbed through it. Not the black cover..the whole unit cover.

Its still to hot to take a closer look. I was looking up the frame and there doesn't appear to be any brackets up along there. Should there be one?

I pushed it up with my foot..and started it back up then gased it. It fell right back on the case again.

TIA

Sounds like you may have lost the supports off of the head pipe . Look right behind the shifter ,there should be 2 springs holding the headpipe up and forward, if they are not missing look down the pipe for other hooks where these springs attach there are several. Another obvious one is above the muffler. I lost that one before on my 300 when I backed into a tree that hit the muffler and knocked it forward. That caused my muffler to fall off the support under it and onto my rear tire.
