I picked up a LT80 and a nipple on the carb is bites off. Wondering if the eBay Chinese carbs are ok? If they’re all the same? If there’s another bike that uses the same carb as the LT80? I’d like to get a oem kehien or whatever comes on it even if used but not looking to spend $200 on a carb either. Thanks This is the carb on it now and have no idea what kind it is
Jack will have more experience than me, but I have used a couple of Chinese replacements on LT50s and they have been OK. Strangely, the holes for the outer cables were too small, and the choke levers stiff, but both problems are easily rectified, and they were "plug and play" regarding the mixture settings. That carb in the picture doesn't look "genuine" to me.
Ya, that's a ebay carb. Actually the one that I liked. Wish I would have bought 50 when they were out. They are not to be found today.
Ebay carbs have been OK. I do recommend finding the carb that has a perfect round choke **** and no air screw. Most all others I see today have a serrated **** PLUS a air mix screw.
