suzuki lt 50
#1
I need help. My Suzuki lt 50 starts and than dies like it is out of fuel. It doesn't seem to have a filter. I touched the carburetor and it moved. Should it move and could it have an air leak that is causing it to die?

Carbs have a habit of getting a bit loose on TL50s. I had an LT50 that did the dies after a few min running trick. It turned out to be the float level set wrong. I must have caught the flap and bent it when cleaning the carb. It would let a little fuel through, but not enough to keep it running, so once it used up what was in the bowl it stopped, until more had trickled through. The float chamber gasket can also catch the float if it is a bit tatty. It should have a black trumpet air filter with a foam element.
