Default 1999 Bombardier Traxter Shifting

Looking for advice from someone who would have more experience with this machine. A friend of mine inherited a 99 Bombardier Traxter 500 from a passed relative. had been sitting for a year or 2 due to a failed sprag clutch, he took it to the local Motorcycle/ATV/Dirtbike dealer in town and after 2 months decided they didn't want to do it, so I told him i'd take a crack at it.. anyhow tore it apart found a failed sprag and 5 out of 6 flywheel bolts came loose and destroyed the flywheel and stator. got it all done and it runs but wouldn't shift with the button. Came across the forum about the piston with the valve relief being out of alignment.. so i took it apart and it was so I got it where it needed to be and it would upshift but not downshift. Did the calibration/diagnostics and has the code for downshift solenoid.. pulled it apart and the whole downshift solenoid came out in about 5 pieces so we bought a whole unit off ebay, swapped it and now it won't even upshift.. i can shift it no problem with the spline out of the back casing so im assuming it is electrical.. kind of at ends with it

Checking to see if you ever fixed the traxter?

I had a similar failure in the flywheel bolts fell out. I still have to go through the motor but would like to know what you found out about the shifting?
