Is there anyway to get the Traxter XT to shift without a bad crunch. There has to be a way to make it shift smoother.

Gee, am wondering how this is happening, must be when your moving the manual gear range lever, low/high/neutral/reverse/park ??
or is this when your pressing a up or down shift button??
Ive been using the Traxter for over a year, only problem was with a poor shifting solenoid when new, dealer replaced it real "speedo" and all is fine. Have heard of shifting into low range and having it jump out, that is a adjustment behind the right front inner liner behind the tire. that solves it Im told.
Good luck

I tried out a new Traxter XT and when up and down shifting it shifted real rough. It made a bad crunch kind of like shifting a standard 5-speed without using the clutch. Is this normal or something out of adjustment.

The shifting mech on a traxter is very rough but it gets smoother as it breaks in. I thought the same things when i test drove one but you will get used to it....JC

Id agree, once you get the feel of the thumb button and the throttle, it will shift real smooth.
Good luck

The dealer where I test rode the Traxter told me the ES can be adjusted to shift rougher or smoother depending on your liking. Also they now have an auto shift model. I would like to know if this can be adapted to the XT. It would make things easier.
