Hello,

I have a 2009 Can-Am DS250, It was running fine, then just died. Now it wont start.

Turns over. But won’t fire. I am guessing it’s not getting spark, because I sprayed Starter fluid into the air filter and still no fire. I’ve never had any engine not Atleast fire and burn off the starter fluid..

Can anyone help me diagnose this? I am going to get a new spark plug tomorrow, and check for spark wile the plug is out.

Welcome to the forums.

That would be my first step. From there, I'd make sure the battery is fully charged, check the spark plug wire and check the harness for anything unusual (burnt) looking.

 

If I have no spark. Is there a way to test the CDI to see if it’s bad? Using a volt meter?

Has Spark.

I bought 2 aftermarket CDI's NEITHER of them have spark, but the OEM one has spark. Very weird.

Even with spark and a new battery, Still completely dead. Won't show any life what so ever.
