I am kind of stumped here I have a 2002 Polsaris sportsman 500 ho I have a fully charged battery but no power being distributated no lights no power to activate starter solenoid now I have replaced the solenoid the run off switch on handlebar tested wire to solenoid no power when key is turned now some times it starts but most wont it started yesterday when i put a heater on engine strange did it again today wont start just no power Battery is 100% I even have a new ignition switch coming from amazon right now its so cold out cant really play with the wires so stiff an brittle

Any one have any ideas as to where i can look funny it started yesterday enough to plow an it started over an over now this morn same thing no power no lights nothing if u need more info ask me

try finding a ground in the harness and test it for continuity against the battery ground.

 

ok i checked all the ground all good today was a bit warmer 20F so checked a few things now i do have power to the ignition switch but thats as far as it goes when i turn key nothing else get energized the wire to the solenoid is dead so hoping its the switch
I took it out cleaned both the switch contacts an the plug still nothing I have a switch coming wed

should there be any other place i should look an test , also i can jump the solenoid and it will crank

its sorta tricky playing with the wires in this cold dont take much to crack the insulation when playing with them

if you have any ideas other than wht i did would like to hear I depend on this machine to plow my driveway 150 feet lol
