Sportsman 335

Your SP335 is not obsolete. It may not be fast, but it has plenty of low end. It has the ride of a SP500. It has excellent brakes. You do not have to worry about the liquid cooling (Water pump seal failures) The driveline is made to take the abuse of the larger 500 motor. It should last a long time with that motor. You motor is easy and cheap to rebuild is necessary.
Personally, I think the SP335 is one of the better utility bikes out there. I would take it over any Honda except the Rubicon. I would take it over any Yamaha utility. I would take it over any Kawasaki except the new 650. Just my opinion. If I were you I would not be disappointed.

Your 335 will run right with the 500 sportsman the only thing the 500 has is more speed if your on dirt roads but in the woods on rocks in mud there the same. The only thing that helped mine alittle was I changed the setting on the helix there is holes where you can change the spring settings. Keep it dont waste money on a new quad.

I rode my SP335, hard, for the first time a couple weekends ago. Now, by hard I mean, hours of full throttle riding, not just poking around trail riding like the majority of the hours have been on this quad. I actually felt like the harder I rode it, the more it hooked up and pulled harder. I feel that normally the belt slips WAY too much, even if the 335 doesn't have that much power, it's certainly not making it's way to the wheels because of the tranny slipping. The engine NEVER gets bogged down. I don't know if the hard riding got the belt hot and grippy, but it performed much better after rippin on it for a while. I stayed with the Honda Foreman 400S I was riding with. And I know the suspension, made me much more comfortable. Everyone else was a little sore the next day after a late night, 60 mile ride. I felt fine. Hindsite is 20-20, but the only quads I would trade the SP335 for is the SP500 or HO, or a Ruby. If speed is really what you're after, go with a sport quad.

I have not yet been able to lose our 335 in the woods when riding. I get a little in front on the straights but then its right there again when we hit the technical stuff. It climbs and muds almost the same as the 500. I love our 335.
