Yep, this is the prelude to the hover model. It will have no tires or wheels, and be suspended at 12 inches from the ground. landing from big jumps will be soaked up by the 12" of travel. Power delivery will be awesome from a 35cc Briggs & Stratton. As there will be no friction, HP will not be a problem, just enought to drive the electromagnet generator. It will turn faster than you can hang on, and lean like a jetski into the corners. Speeds will be limited to 100mph in the interests of saftey, but the greenies will be happy as it will not leave tire marks anywhere. It will will bring new meaning to the "tread Lightly" slogan!

KIWI;
That is GREAT! But what aboot them thar tall buildings? Is there any speculation as to what it will be able to do aboot them?
By the way, what does that YT stand for After New Zealand? I thought New Zealand was it's own. Or are you from some town in the Yukon Territory I never heard of? LOL!
35cc's? Any idea what kind of milage?
You say 12 inches to soak up landings. Is it safe to air it out? Or will that lead you to a tranny change?
This sounds very efficiant. Certainly not a bad move at all. BUT I kinda have my heart set on a Kick start plutonium powered model. That way you can head into the bush for a weeks long ride and not have to fuss with all that extra fuel.
The more we know it seems the more questions we have.

YT stands for some dweeb web designer that doesn't know there is a world outside the USA, and makes entering a US state a compulsory field. It is a common problem for the 5.8 billion people that don't live in the USA. Another thing that pi$$es the rest of the world is the compulsory zip code fields. NO ONE ELSE USES ZIP CODES!!! One solution is that we all move Stateside, then web designers won't be too taxed in their thinking!
A reliable source tells me that there will be an option for a tiny nuke powered version that won't have to refuel for 5 years, but that model is top secret so don't start any gossip about it.
By the way, it is snowing here now. Ski season is about to start, and this is the best time of the year for riding. No dust, lots of mud, but not get stuck goo, lots of farmers letting you ride on their farms - no lambing, no new stock, just good riding, and best of all, it is Friday here now, and I am riding tomorrow. You all will have to wait another 18 hours to go riding.

Rumors..arent we all sick of this BS. I have to agree QuadFather. Wasnt it about 3 weeks ago when the "inside sources" said wait and see in about a week. Isnt it also funny that the "inside sources" have been sort of quiet recently. I'll say it again, as far as I can see the 2001 line-up has some interesting new graphics on all of the same old machines. Before any of you jump on me with the you'll be sorry if you dont wait arguement. I guess then maybe I should wait until...oh say....2005 for the really ALL NEW quad. Give me a break.

see the date of the original post. I was one of the hundred who tested this bike. I think it will be a while before it comes out. the test bike had alot of stuff to work out. the ergos were way off. The power and the suspension was the only thing that was good right away. I dont think it will be untill 2002. besides it was back to the drawing board for the plastics. everybody gave it a big thumbs down.
