Bought some holeshot XC's about 3 weeks ago. I ride pits, railbeds, and some wooded trails. The rear tires are 6 ply but on my first two rides with the new tires, I've had to put a plug in each tire. I bought these tires becuase they where so highly spoke of and punture resistance. I can't get the stinkin' things to hold air. Just wondering if anyone else is or has had that problem.

Thanks.

i've always heard that the holeshots AREN'T very puncture resistant at all because of the soft rubber their made of. holeshots are a racing tire. i think you baught the wrong kind of tire for your type of riding. i would suggest a pair of bandits for you. their very puncture resistant.

YEP!!!! Had the same problem and got rid of those pieces of **** tires!!! I thought the same thing too!! I heard alot of good things about those tires and I didn't see it. The only thing I can say is that there not a very good tire at all!! and the only good holeshot tires they have is there 18's and I'm not sure about there XCT's but I would have to say there alot better than the XC's. You can't get any worse than those!!! Now, I've heard the bandits are really good trail tire but I've also heard the holeshot was a good tire too!

I've run every type of Holeshot there is on a bunch of different bikes and rims. I've NEVER had any problem with any of them, and this is on hard a$$ desert XC riding. The Standard (20", 4-ply) rears do wear out pretty fast, because I think they are softer. The Standard fronts (21", 2-ply) have a rather stiff bead, so you have to be carefull not to damage it during mounting. Other than that, never had a problem of any kind.

Seems like I remember hearing about a batch of XC's that came out with pin hole leaks in them??? You might want to give ITP a call.
