Dirt in my gas tank!!!!

Recentally while i was putting gas into my quad i noticed there was some dirt that had setteled on the bottom of the tank...What shold i do about this, and what problems can this cause...thanks for any information..

If it gets into the carb, it can cause your bike to run like total crap! If you can't get it out through the gas cap hole, I would take teh on/off/reserve valve off the tank and flush the tank w/water a few times. Then clean the valve in case it already has some dirt in it, put it back together and be on your way. Lata.

Polaris,
Cowtit is right, you really want to clean that tan out ASAP. My dirtbike friend used a shop vac to clean out his tank. He drain all the fuel out, then vac'd out the dirt. As for flushing the tank and fuel lines, he used gas.
