HO topend mated to 425 EXPED bottom end??

will the top end of an HO engine bolt to the bottom end of the expedition 425 bottom end? you could finally have a manual transmission for you sportsman or scrambler. just wondering. i would be kinda cool if you could get a manual clutch on the 425. just a thought.

there has to be some way to modify the angle of the carb or someting to make the carb fit or go to a different carb altogether. that was a good idea to put the engine in the sportsman 400. heck, why not just put it in the HO 500? i bet it would fit with little or no modifications. the only problem i can see is you would have to hook the engine up to the drive train differently because you power does not go to an auto tranny first. this may present a problem.

The way the cable goes into the carb is the problem. It is alot different than the setup that is on the bike. You could cut and modify the frame and the gas tank to make it fit. There is a 38mm that will fit on the bike.
A manual transmission is not a downgrade. There are many situations that a belt drive will not stand a chance in the riding that we do. I own both a manual shift and a PVT bike. The type of work or riding makes the choice on what bike I use.
