Well I just got my 400ex and I was wondering what I need first to make the most of my purchase. Then all the mods in order needed to race a little mx. Money is no object but I still want the best priced high quality stuff. Thanx in advance

 

Well you are going to get a pretty wide variety of answers and suggestions on this topic but here is mine-

Uni Filter
Modified air box lid
LRD exahust system
xr250 CDI box
Ohlins front shocks w/ eibach revalved rear
mild porting
GT Thunder Cam
FCR 39mm carb
IMS 440 with 12:1 piston

With this you should have a farly fast quad.-

I agree, you will get a lot of different answers to that question. Not everyone will agree with me, but I say FIRST thing is suspension. You will be able to go faster with better shocks. Due this first, then start moding the engine for more power.

 

Ride it for a couple of months than make the call. After a couple of months you will know what you like & don't like. It handles well, in my opinion it needs more muscle.
