rear sprocket loose

I was out jumping this weekend setting my suspension, and when i was done and heading back around the track my chain SNAPPED like the link in half. SO i took the chain off and notices my back sprocket is loose is that normal if not how do i tighten it. If the news is really bad break it to me gentaly

If you mean that it is loose where it attaches to the axle, then it is either the axle splines or the splines on the part the sprocket is attached to. You should check your brake rotor too - it is probably loose. I am taking mine back to the dealer. He said this is not normal so I am hoping Yamaha will fix under warranty. I've been riding with mine loose for at least 3 weeks and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse - the reason I keep riding it is that my local dealer said it is normal.

You can try tightening the rear axle nuts but I've heard this is only a 1-2 ride fix and then doesn't work again. Do an advanced search under NotuRaptor for procedures on tightening the rear axle nuts.
