CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD WEBSITE THAT SELLS K & N AIR FILTERS AT GOOD PRICES?

SO THIS LEAVES ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE UNI FILTER MIGHT BE BETTER. I HAD ALWAYS ASSUMED THAT K & N WAS BETTER.
ANY GOOD WEBSITES WERE I CAN GET A NICELY PRICED UNI FILTER?

Do yourself a favor and stay away from K&N filters. They flow a fraction more air, maybe 1/4 horse over a uni, but they flow so much dirt. Use a pre filter? Then it flows less than a UNI filter! Go get a good UNI filter, Your bike will love you for it, and so will your pocketbook. If you don't believe me, call someone like Curtis Sparks or Tom Carlson, they'll slap you for even considering! lol. I hope I helped in time!

I can vouch for Rocky Mountain as they are the best online outfit I have used for ATV stuff so far. They have good prices and fair shipping. Some other places may be better for you (K&K was good to me) as they are closer. Chapparal works good too. Dennis Kirk is solid, but you can get better prices and similar customer service from Rocky, K&K, etc...

Also, I have been hearing similar comments about the K&N filters flowing more dirt. Is there any semi-scientific comparison available? I really like the one on my Bronco and my Jetski has had one for years with no ill effects. Foam filters are a pain - K&N's aren't much better for maintenance, but enough where I would rather go that way than replace with another foam setup.

If you care about reliability and performance go with UNI filter. It has been the best decision I have made on my Raptor. Remember that ANY dust that gets in the engine will grind the insides like sandpaper, and moreover remember how much you paid for you bike.

I did a little research on my own since I haven't ordered a filter as of yet. Turns out pretty much everyone, except K&N, all had the same results - foam filtered better. The airflow restriction penalty between foam & K&N, but all said the K&N flowed the best. What was most interesting thing I found in the www.lubespecialist.com test was that the stock paper element wasn't that much better than the K&N. Since my Bronco has 150K on it and will need a rebuild anyway, I will stick with my K&N. My Raptor will get a UNI (or some other foam setup). If I find a better, more scientific review, I will try and post it here.

GREAT POST THANKS FOR THE INTERESTING INFO.
IT'S JUST KIND OF WEIRD, I HAVE BEEN HEARING FOR A LONG TIME THAT K & N WAS THE BEST.
AIR FILTERS ARE ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT MANY PEOPLE OVER LOOK. IT'S PRETTY APPARENT THAT THE K & N IS BETTER FOR SPORT BIKES AS THE UNI IS MORE FOR MY KIND OF RIDING I.E OFF ROAD
AGAIN THANKS FOR THE GREAT POST WITH EXCELLENT RESEARCH!!!

Grass dragging snowmobiles, we experimented with both foam uni-filters and K&N's. The K&n's gave us about 400 more RPM's on the top endwhich equates to probably about 10 hp!! We threw the uni's in the trash.... Trail riding in dirt may require a little different mindset though, this was a strict race application.
