I usually just watch my oil and when it starts turning light to medium brown change it and the filter. This is about 10 hours of riding. Do you always change the oil filter with the oil? Normaly my oil filter looks real good, never cloged, but I change it any way.

After riding many different bikes for many years a good rule of thumb is on water cooled machines like the Banshee you change the oil every 7 tanks of fuel. On air cooled machines like our Warriors you change the oil every 5 tanks of fuel. Always change the oil filter every time you change the oil. If you do some engine screaming riding you might want to change it sooner though. I'm also in the process of checking into an oil cooler for the Warrior. The oil temp on my machine is too high.

Actually the oil cooler off of the Big Bear is a match because the older Big Bears run a Warrior engine.
