The book for the 2001 Warrior calls for a NGK D8EA. I took the plug out tonight and it is a NGK DR8EA. What is the difference other than it being a resistor type plug? What plug should I really be running?

With the resistor plug you can play an AM RADIO with out a lot of interfearance. Thats about it. The Spark on a R is also not as strong. I would D8EA. Always worked for me.

Why is the spark on an "R" plug not as strong as a regular plug? If I change to a D8EA plug the bike should run a little leaner, correct?
