I took my Blaster down my drive to get the mail. I got to the bottum shut it off and got the mail. I stared it back up and it wouldnt rev up it just popped and sputter and boged. I would try to go and it would just stall cause I couldnt rev it at all.It sometimes does this if I ride for a long time and then blast through a mud hole. And usually after letting her sit she'll start back up. But today I didnt go through any mud and it wont start again. The past couple weeks the only way it would start is if I held the throttle wide open and kicked it even when hot. What is wrong with this thing?? I can sell it if it doesnt run.

well before you go and sell the thing you should at least check out a few things first, clean the air filter, clean-up the carb real good and check your jetting,if it improves a bit but not all the way than you probley need to rejet if you don't see any improvement at all after cleaning and tuning the carb than I would check the flywheel key cause it might be partialy sheered.
well good luck

Try a new plug. Most of the time when I have problems I first try a new plug and that ussually takes care of it.

1995 yamaha blaster, k&n filter, paul turner pipe, 14 tooth front sprocket, oil injection block off, graydon skid plate, and rear holeshot tires

While you have your plug out check your compression. Hopefully its just the plug but it also sounds like you have low compression.

yeah definatly check the plug and compression, I must have spaced it on that while writting my first response, sorry, I figured that you already checked out the plug so if you didn't, start there cause it is the most logical!

Ok will do today. I sure hope I have good compression cause I have a very fresh top end. I think, hope it's just a fouled plug.
