I have been keeping an eye on ebay and Cycletrader but thought I would mention here. Should I be looking anywhere else? Many of the ones i find are located far from me, making it a little harder and more expensive.

Silverado, I can't afford your bike. Seems like it is $5700 or so. Ideally, i would get something like a 1997-1999 ranging from $3500 to $4500, unless i could find a real good deal on a 2000. Actually, i have looked at a few 2000's for 4600 and 4800, but one was red the other had $300 in taxes and $100 dealer fee. I would rather buy private.

That is a very good buy. What I have learned is, there are a lot of 2000 and 2001, and a decent number of 1999's. As a result, the prices on them are pretty good, plus it is harder to get financing on a used one yet $5000 cash is a lot to come up with. It seems like I will need to pay full avg to high retail (nada) for a 97-98 but substantially less for a 2000. I might need to wait until next year and i will be able to afford a 2000.
