650 Prairie Alternator Capacity

How many watts is the alternator on the 650 ??? I can't find a spec for it.

I believe you can safely draw up to 60 additional watts. Its actually printed on the cigarette lighter style power outlet.

I don't know how much power that the alternator will put out and you are right in that 60 watts is the max you can get out of the power outlet. There is a 5 amp fuse supplying 12vdc to the power outlet. Therefore, using the electrical formula, Power in watts=current in amps x voltage. In this case, current is limited by the 5 amp fuse which give us 60 watts (5amps x 12 volts = 60 watts). I suspect the alternator puts out more than 60 watts.
