Will I melt the fender on my Warrior when I install the E-Series silencer? Should I get some of that heat tile tape to put on the underside of the fender? Does that heat tile tape really work?

I've had an E-Series Pro-Meg for three years, with a quiet core insert for about a year and a half with no damage to the plastic. The quiet core does increase the temp of the muffler, but not enough to do any damage. My plastic is original, I don't know how aftermarket would hold up. There is some discoloration of the grab bar from the exhaust, but the power increase is worth it. White Bros. also makes special discs that help direct the exhaust flow away from sensitive areas. They have them in the WB catalog.

Make sure it is pivioted in the middle of the air box and plastic. I wouls suggest getting a sheet of heat tape. Better safe than sorry. I really like the WB PM.

Heat tape does work as long as the heat source is not resting on the tape.
