Hello everyone. I'll be shopping for new tires for my Wolverine before too long and I'm not sure what size to get. If I get OEM replacements I have to order them from the dealer because they said only Yamaha can get that size which is:
Front: AT23x8-12
Rear: AT23x10-12

So what size aftermarket tire would fit my stock rim? I'd prefer to go with a larger tire instead of a smaller tire and I ride mostly trails and dirt roads with the occassional mud patch....any ideas?

The only after market tire that I have found that offers a stock replacment size is the TITAN 489. They offer the same size as the OEM's on your Wolverine. Arctic Cat's come with the same type of tire(TITAN'S). I have a 99 Wolverine and when I replace the tire's I will use either the Kenda "Bear Claw" or the Cheng Shin "All Trak" in a 25" size to gain more ground clearnce. The only down side to a taller tire is the loss of bottom end, but I plan to preform a few mods to try and gain more HP to make up for the loss...hope it helps.....Herbert

Hey Guys,
If you go with a 25" tire have them put on Aluminum rims. Adding a taller tire saps the power. Sure adding a pipe and air filter help, but alum over steel rims will help performance greatly.

If you go to a taller tire, you will be able to get your performance back by adding some performance pieces/jet kit/air filter/pipe/torque stuffer/air box mods, this will also pick up your top speed to about 58mph,also if you ride in mud etc. buy mudrunners, you will not be sorry!!!!

I have a modified 95 Wolverine.
I put Bearclaws on aluminum rims, and they work great.
