Removal/Installation of DS fan....w/woods exhaust..?
#1
A question......from "Lakota" The woods exhaust system is closer to fan than stock. While removing a "bad" fan some radiator fins were damaged. Before installing the fan and possibly damaging more fins whats the best way to create more space for fan installation?

I too blew a fan, I think the early failure rate of these fans is because they are next to the header pipe. I got a second fan, a "pusher" which will fit in front of the radiator, with a big hole in the screen. It is one size larger than the stock rear fan, Spal Part #30100393 Off Road Warehouse
$72.99 included shipping. I have not made this modification yet.
If you are changing fans and pipe at the same time, be sure to change the fan while the pipe is off. It is a pain to change with the headpipe in place.
A good tool to straighten the tiny aluminum radiator slits is the flat, pointed end of plastic snap-ties we use to tie cables and oil lines and wires with.
