Wolverine Tires
#1
I bought a used 1998 Yamaha Wolverine 4x4 and need to replace the tires. The bike has 23x10x12, but there impossible to find to replace (in canada). Thinking of going with 25x10x12 and was wondering if there are any problems with going to a larger tire. Also any opinion on the Bear Claw. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The only problem with going to a taller tire is that you will lose some bottom end power. With a shaft drive there is no way to compensate for that other than motor work or running in a lower gear (tranny). With a chain and sprocket, you could just change the sprockets. Be carefull how tall you go with.

I have 26x12x12's on mine. I did lose some bottom end,
I have read that if you go large tires on a wolverine 25's are the best size. I drilled my clutch so that the clutches enguage faster...
I will be getting a jet kit also to help out......
