So how come you guys aren't talkin' about it? And the fact their new model lineup does Not include any new sport quad. No hot 450, no new 650. I am dissapointed. Honda has the potential to really heat up the big bore sport quad scene.
.... But my friend with his venerable Foreman now has something to really look forward to in the Rincon. Switchable 2x4 to 4x4, IRS, big bore power, the Rincon sounds like a direct shot at the Grizz, V-Kawie and 700 Polaris,,,,sounds great to me.

alot of the fellas here are sport quad junkies and think utes are usless. I personally prefer a ute. the Rincon has me seriously thinking about a new quad.....but the rancher will stay with me. it will be paid off shortly after the rincon comes out. the only thing i don't like about the rincon is no locking differential and it's automatic.....but i could live without that. I'm not much of a big bore guy but he rincon has certainly got my attention. honda will sell a boat load of them as long as they price them right. i'm never foing to pay over 6500 for a quad so i may have to wait a while for the prices to come down. they will be astronomical when they first hit the dealers......just like the rubicon was.

Cruising the back threads I see you Honda guys have been talking about the new Rincon. I can't believe it won't be out till next summer.. And that you too are dissapointed in no new big bore sport quad. Gotta be next year eh? FYI Rincon is a mountain range east of Tucson AZ. I like the name, always have...Looks like the Grizz and the Rincon are going to square off for the title...

FYI. The price is supposed to be in the less than 8500 region. How much less is anyones guess, but I think not much less.

.....Hey I like the Prarie 650. I think a V-twin is an awesome motor for a big bore quad, and I can't wait to see if they come out with the big sled sport version,,,But there is just always something about Kawasaki that keeps them in third place. Kinda like Jack-in-the-Box, they have good ideas and good products that never seem to take them into the winner's circle like they could, or should. And they just lost Ricky Carmichael didn't they?
...... I rode one, I liked it, but,, I thought the plastic and racks were off an E-Ton. I liked the shifter better than the Grizz. It does not out-corner/handle a WIDENED Grizz, and it is not faster, but it is smoother. The Grizz motor is excellent, that Raptor topend...That Honda will no doubt be another hybrid pushrod.
......I am not as impressed with the cow-ie's rear axle. I think it's great the new Honda and the Grizz have I.R.S. I had two Sportsmans and IRS is the very best thing about 'em.
.....Who's going to make the first jump to Electronic Fuel Injection in a Big Bore 4x4?? This is something that could really enhance the performance as well as reduce maintenence, lower emissions and improve fuel economy. It may be just around the corner, we've had it in our cars for 20 years.....

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++

Swichable 2x4 to 4x4 and IRS!
Is that something new? Sounds like old news to us.

It will not be popular in Canada though because the still sell the Rubicon 500 for the same price as the Kawi 650 and Grizzly 660 here. This new Rincon might sell for the same price as a 1996 Jeep.

i think the rincon would be awesome if it only had a locking differential and maybe some more ground clearance. i think maybe honda is goin after the wolverine and scrambler rather than the grizz and prairie. according to some people on here it is very sporty btu i guess we'll have to wait and find out. also i think there is a new honda sport quad around the corner..soon it will be out. but as for right now i'm lookin forward to the new suzuki.

Mike Pennland wins titles on a Prairie 400 (now he will be sporting the 650). William Yokley won several races last year on the kxf quad and finished 2nd in the series standings(HE is in the top 5 this year also). A series that is flooded with Hondas. Todd Knippenburg won races on a 250 Mojave in the four stroke stock class and finished second in the series standings last season. Keep in mind he was racing the "Quad of the decade" 400 EX. And Carmichael leaving Kawasaki is just more proof that money does the talking. Remeber when McGrath got that big one year deal from Suzuki? He went from domination to 2nd place that season. Carmichael is awesome, but watch how much better Ezra Lusk is aboard the Kawasaki. When it comes to horsepower and racing, Kawasaki plays second fiddle to nobody. If they ever put the same dedication into their production quads ( like it apears they may FINALLY be doing) they will be the Polaris of the 90's and win over buyers left and right.
