Does anyone have skis mounted on the front of their 4-wheeler in place of the wheels. I know you can buy skis that strap to the wheels, but I was looking for ones that you can bolt directly to the a-arms. I have checked the snotraxx web site, but it hasn't been up-dated for over a year now. Does any one have this set up, a homemade set up, or know where I can get them? Pics would be very helpful. I am planning on building my own, but I wanted to get some ideas first. Thanks.

i tryed this one time for my banshee i cut a used snow board in half then i cut the center out of two wheels and had a loacal welder weld two strips of angle iron 12 inches long and bolted them to the ski with flat bolts going forward there great but they wont turn so now i just use my sand tires in front.

I made a ski set up for the front of a three wheeler. I used a ski w'leaf springs on it from an old snowmobile. I took a piece of angle iron and a stripped out hub from another three wheeler. I put it all together and it was pretty clean deal. But I don't suggest doing it. Steering it horrible. The front will just push. My buddy was riding it pretty fast in the snow and tried to steer, but it kept going straight. Then he caught a rut and the bike flipped over and busted the frozen plastic. And it's a bit scary doing jumps because I was always afraid that the ski wouldn't land flat.
