We're finally trading in my wife's Prairie 400. She's not comfortable with it in both size and weight. We were looking at the 250 Trailblazer tonight, and it seems it would be more enjoyable for her handling-wise. She likes the full floorboards and the automatic. Anyway, I just wondered if anyone had any comments, good or bad about this quad. Thanks !!

Just picked one up for my wife this past weekend and she loves it. She had never ridden before so we liked the no shifting. It is a pretty big bike (actually dwarfs my tecate), but it still is peppy. From the little I rode it, it seemed to be stable. For the price you really can't beat the deal.

A pipe and clutch kit is really needed on that bike. It makes a big difference. Be careful of the shifter, the long throw makes it easy to break at the linkage because of the leverage you have. Other than that I havent had any problems. My wife seems to like it.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!! I don't know if you've ridden a Prairie 400, but with the full time 4wd, it steers pretty hard. The Trailblazer looks like it will handle real nice for her. I don't think she ever nails the throttle, so acceleration won't be a big priority for her Yes, the price did seem very reasonable!!

I have had 2 now for a year and a half. Trouble free and very enjoyable to ride. I took one of the Trail Blazers on a Polaris Pro tour to the mountains of Ten. earlier this year. Went up to 3780 feet without rejetting or changing the spark plug, and climbed every hill and trail that the rest did. I have now added a Grizz to the bunch but plan on keeping my Trail Blazers. They may have a small engine but I do easy wheelies. (I'm 245 lbs.) So they do have plenty of power stock. They do tend to go through rear brake pads sooner than expected. One set a year at $38.00 This is the only maitenance cost I've had.

Kirk1-
If you get up my way your wife is welcome to try one of mine at the Mounds. Better place to judge one rather than a parking lot.
