Is anyone using the multimount winch kit from Cabela's, $159.99? I am considering getting it, but it says it is for the Warn 2500 winch only.

Doesn't the Warn 2500 and 2000 winches use the same body/case and electrical hookups? Anybody know if these kits will work with the 2000 winch or know of any reason they shouldn't?

Thanks

I was told buy Montana Jacks that the 2000 and the 2500 are the same winch, it is in how the solenoid box that comes with the 2500 to make it 2500

Thanks, that is how I understand it too. As far as I can figure the only problem I may run into would be with the difference in the two switches. The 2500 switch being able to go to the front or back with the winch and the 2000 switch being stationary.

I have the Polaris multi mount kit on mine and LOVE it.

The difference from the 2000 to 2500 is the 2500 has the power battery cable quick connects, remote control, and low amperage solenoid with it.

I'm guessing the Cabela's kit is nothing more than mounting brackets???

Look at the SP 500 HO X and you'll see how nicely it fits up under the bumper!

I guess I'll say it before modquad does, "call HPD." This seems to be the answer for anything.

This comment is in bad taste but I am sick of seeing "call HPD". In fact I don't think I would call HPD just because of it. I don't beleive that ONLY HPD knows how to build a good running Polaris. When it comes time to do some more mods, HPD will be my last alternative. Even if I have to waste my money on everything else before it. HPD is not the answer to everything nor can I believe that they are the best at everything they sell.

This comment responce has nothing to do with winches. So for that I must say sorry to ldavid and to every one that responded to his post. I just had enough of "call HPD" and needed to vent.

I called HPD the other day and the call did not make it past the receptionist...
