Amount of teeth on a sprocket for 300ex will do what?

For faster acceleration use either a smaller front or larger back.
For more top end speed use either a larger front or smaller back. Keep in mind these changes will not give you any more horsepower just better gear ratios to suit your style. If you are just experimenting the cheapest way would be to buy 2 front sprokets one tooth smaller and another one tooth larger than what you have now and give them a try.

The 300EX does great by going up 1 tooth on the front only. Whether you are using it for trails or motocross. We wonder why Honda didn't do it from the factory. You will not notice a power lose on the bottom with this sprocket but it will give you more top end.{still don't go looking for 400's though]. If you have taller than stock rear tires, I would not recommend you up on the sprocket at all. Just keep it the same.
