Does anyone with a modified DS650 have 1/8 and 1/4 mile times and speed? This is another way to compare HP without the hassle of a dyno.

I easily made it into the eighties (E-trex GPS) in deep loose sand this weekend, running 22x11x10 10-paddle taller haulers which load the motor quite a bit. It's not the max speed due to limited drag strip length. The head gasket keeps leaking though. I need to O-ring the cylinder. There were some turbo banshees runnning 25psi of boost. I don't know if I'm sold on the taller haulers for my turbo setup yet - the added traction/loading has it's negatives.

ScoobyDFW, was that sand run at LS? I read in one of your other post that you were thinking about realtors and also read another guy was using them and like them. I have a set only (used once) if you are interested. 22x12x9.....Let me know

RaptorRRC, did you try the realtors in the sand with your rappy? How do they perform on hard pack and in sand? Would they work at Kermit or Little sahara in OK. ?

Thanks,

The realtors were originally bought for a 300ex but the were too much tire for it. My son did try them on his Raptor once but the did not compare to the sand skateII's and he only did one run on them. He should have ran them more to get used to them. They did break loose and got no traction on that one and only run. Being a taller tire if he would have played with them and got them to hook up there should have been some good runs. I can see where they would be good but we just never did try them out in other conditions. We were thinking about waiting for snow (rare) or mudding with them too. They should work great in sand with the big power wheelers like the DS.

I thought this post was for measured speeds not tires. I am interested in what speeds you guys are getting with your modified setups (thanks for your input Scooby). Whatever the speeds are though it's never enough is it.
