I just got my White Bros. CDI (rev box) from Moto-Man, and noticed that it does not say White Bros. anywhere on it. It has the name "Shindengen" stamped on the top and the initials "WB" engraved in the side (this was scribed by hand). Is this an actual White Bros. CDI or a XR 250 CDI? It measures 2 1/2"x1 5/8"x7/8". Is this the same dimensions of the XR 250 ign.? If this is the same piece, I could have saved about $25 buying the XR CDI from a Honda dealer.

Does it have any identifiable part number on it any where? I have been told that all these boxes come from the same manufacturer. Don't know for sure.

One thing everybody should know about White Bros. is that they are not a manufacturer, they are a Distributor. They take a product, slap their name on it, and jack up the price about 150%! I learned this many years ago racing Mt. bikes. They hosed me on some fork parts, I looked in a mag and found the same thing for about half the price! Caveat Emptor!

I'm going racing today. I will report back later and tell the results. Has anyone bought the XR250 CDI? Maybe you can describe what it looks like and we can compare. If this box is actually a XR250 CDI then maybe we can get the word out and anyone wanting to purchase an aftermarket CDI will be able to save about $25.

Did you try calling moto-man? Demand some answers from them!!! I hope for your sake and everyother ATVers sake, they didn't rip you off. I was planning to buy a CDI from them too!

Just got back from riding. The new CDI box works AWESOME!! I ran hard in the snow and never did hit the rev limiter. It was well worth the bucks!
