Kx 250 quad vs. Tecate 4
#3
No, it's not the same quad. The Tecate was designed in the 80's by Kawasaki. The KXF-01 (I belive that's the correct name of it) was designed last year by Doug Roll, with a KX250 powerplant supplied by Kawasaki. It's very likely that when Kawasaki release thier next high performance sport ATV, it will inherit many if not all of the positive traits you will find in the Roll Designs chassis. This means the production version, (Which is rumored to be released in both a 2 and 4 stroke model) will have one awesome chassis, straight from the factory. The late model KXF250-01 will eat a stock Tecate or TRX250R hands down. The Roll designed chassis is a very suped up design based on the TRX250R (as all the more popular a…BATmarket chassis' are.)

The Tecate wouldn't be able to even touch the KXF! I hope to see a 250 2-stroke and 400 4-stroke racers. I can't wait till quad racing gets as serious as dirt bikes with the 125 class, 250 class, and so on. It would be pretty kool
